Wipe the webbing clean with a damp cloth instead of machine washing it, since repeated washing and tumble drying can dull the reflective coating faster than spot cleaning. With normal wear the metal hardware can tarnish over time, and the webbing itself holds up better than the coating's brightness, which fades gradually with heavy use.
