Material and care

Crossed strap construction

At the front, two straps cross over the chest before meeting a waist belt that itself crosses in an X, and O-ring connectors link that belt down to the two thigh garters. Because the harness and garters attach through these rings rather than one continuous strap, the leg garter harness can be worn on its own, without the shoulder straps, for a shorter look. Each thigh band splits into two horizontal straps joined by a short vertical connector at the outer leg, which keeps the garter from sliding down through normal walking and dancing.
